HED Consulting engineers were engaged by AusForm Projects to provide the construction inspections for the Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant upgrade.
The Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is Greater Hobart’s primary source of drinking water, providing around 60 per cent of the water supplied to customers in the Hobart, Glenorchy, Clarence, Brighton, Derwent Valley, Kingborough, Sorell and the Southern Midlands municipalities.
Initially constructed in 1962, with capacity augmentations completed in 1972 and 1992, TasWater has now completed upgrades and expansions of the plant to ensure it can continue to provide high-quality drinking water and meet projected demand in Greater Hobart for years to come.
Over two years of construction, HED Consulting worked on the construction inspections for multiple slab pours, ensuring quality and compliance at each stage. This was an exciting project to be involved with, with our engineers on site as this huge project unfolded for TasWater.
